Dr. Josif Gjani is a doctoral-level economist and serial entrepreneur with over 15 years of professional experience spanning central government, multilateral advisory, and technology entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in International Economics & EU Integration from the University of Tirana and an MSc in Advanced Development Economics from the University of Florence, Italy.
Between 2009 and 2015, he served as National Coordinator for Strategic Planning & EU Integration at the Prime Minister's Office of Albania, acting as the primary government counterpart for the European Commission, GIZ/KfW, and the World Bank. In this role, he established Albania's Integrated Policy Management Groups, the National Investment Committee, and the Single National Project Pipeline.
He has since served as Senior Expert and Key Expert on more than 15 EU-funded technical assistance projects, contributing to over 50 IPA project documents across sectors including rule of law, public finance management, environment, transport, and energy. He is also Co-Founder and CEO of IKONS Group (digital transformation) and CCUBE.ai (artificial intelligence solutions).
